Garden and Asian Wedding Favors - Beautiful Spring Wedding

When couples plan a wedding in today’s world there are many different elements that must be considered. Theme and decorations are two things to think about, along with what type of decorations to use with the theme chosen. Two very nice ideas for themes to use at the ceremony and reception are an Asian or a garden theme. Whichever is decided upon, there are wedding favors to match the theme that are a great idea to give to the guests as a special “Thank you” gift that will also act as a reminder of the special occasion.

There are many elements about the orient that are fascinating to those of us from the west. The decorations used outdoors, including the paper lanterns lit with candles and elements of the written language, make beautiful additions to a western wedding when handled properly. This is why an Asian theme is a fairly popular choice. Couples who go with an Asian theme can find a good variety of Asian wedding favors by shopping online. These small, inexpensive items can be given to the guests as thank you gifts and they make some of the most beautiful keepsakes that anyone could ever wish for to have as reminders of the event.

Silk and paper Asian fans, candles, and a wide range of items that contain the Chinese glyphs meaning “love” and “double happiness” are among the options for couple to choose from when,...

10 Important Wedding Reception Planning Tips

For most people, the wedding and reception are once-in-a-lifetime event. But, because it’s once-in-a-lifetime, most people have little to no experience in planning them. Here are a few helpful hints you can use to get started:

1. Have back-up! Designate a responsible person who can hold the checks to be given at the reception, make phone calls to make sure everything is on schedule, answer the little questions coming in from the reception location, caterer, music, bakery, florist, limo driver, the wedding party, the guests, etc. A bride will quickly find herself completely overwhelmed trying to do it herself, and that’s not what this day is about.

2. Plan ahead and utilize a checklist. As much as possible, make no room for glitches on your big day. Remind your back-up person that every single detail matters and therefore you must put everything down on a checklist if only to see that nothing is left behind.

3. Avoid micro-managing, delegate! Beyond your main person, it is normal for different members of both families to manage different aspects of the wedding and reception. If you have 30 items to manage and 30 individuals to each manage one thing, all you have to do is check in with your people! You are now the project manager instead of the micro-manager,...

Online Love is the new way

So you are looking for love in today’s busy environment, and you are finding it hard. You have tried hundreds of bars, pubs, clubs and even your local supermarket. In fact there are starting to be some feelings of hopelessness.

The good news (if you want to call it that) is that YOU ARE NOT ALONE infact large city’s have huge populations of single people looking for love. Many of these people feel absolute despair at their single situation.

Don’t let my opinions make you lock yourself in a cupboard love is possible and still happening everyday. But the truth is today there is no time for love, we do not have any spare me time. We all work that much that we are exhausted when we are not working.

We all know that the proliferation of fast food outlets is simply because people have no time, they are time starved and because you cannot simply rush in and find love like at a fast food joint what can you do. Well don’t despair there is an answer,...

Some Great Wedding Photography Techniques

The bride and groom are usually so busy on their wedding day that without photos to remind them, many of the days events would be forgotten. Because of this, the vast majority of couple arrange for a digital wedding photographer to be there for the most important part of the day.

Most wedding photographers have assistants so they can create a wedding album that will be memorable but if you want to take pictures of a friend’s wedding, who will help you?Fortunately for wedding photographers they can use an assistant to help them get the right shots but if you’re a friend taking pictures, then how do you take good shots of the day?If you want to take photographs of your friend’s or relations wedding then you will have to do it on your own because you won’t have an assistant like the professionals have. So, if you need some help for a wedding you are to attend and you are going to use a digital camera, then you may find some useful information in this article.

Unless you know how to compensate or have taken the shot purposely for effect; remember the background is very important. Often when there is a good background there are just too many people in the shot, so if this is the situation, just try and capture a nice head and shoulders shot of the couple.

Try to get guests that have spectacles on to either remove them or hold their head at an angle so that there isn’t a reflection obscuring their eyes. If you are shooting into the light,...

Engagement Ring Finger On Engagement Ring Hand

A lot of young lovers must be marveling precisely which finger makes for the best engagement ring finger and the option as a whole generally comes down to the fourth finger on their left hand which is very handy and thus is most frequently selected to hold the engagement ring. As a matter of fact, in Western cultures the engagement ring finger will nearly always be the fourth finger on a person’s left hand as it has always been a tradition for this finger to hold both the wedding and engagement ring.

Love, Devotion and Surrender

The importance of the engagement ring finger lies in its ability to convey to the partner a commitment of undying love, devotion and surrender. It also means that if an outsider views another sporting a ring on the engagement ring finger, and then that person is not available for love.

Additionally, the fourth finger on a person’s left finger is reckoned to be one in which veins link up straight to the person’s heart and thus both tradition and etiquette call for that this finger be picked out for supporting the engagement ring,...

Active Wedding Reception Games

We've all been to receptions that are standard - we welcome and celebrate the new married couple, watch them dance, and enjoy cake with them. But creative couples often enjoy coming up with fun games that include the entire guest list.

Including the guests is an excellent way to get people out of their chairs, meeting people they might not otherwise know and feeling like they are truly a part of the celebration, not just observers.

One fun and active game that can be played by all your guests, including grandma as well as the young children, is "want it now".

In this game, you designate a master of ceremonies (if you have a DJ for your wedding reception, this person can serve as the DJ). The MC will have a list of "wants" prepared before the reception. Everyone sits at their tables, and waits to hear the command. The MC says he wants a person with painted toenails. All the women with painted toenails run to the front of the room, toward the MC. Each time a table sends someone to the front first, they get a point,...

The Idea Of Wedding Favors

The ideal of wedding favors was actually inherited from the Europeans in the 1600 century, and it is actually a very old tradition that many people are still doing up till this day. Selecting a wedding favor or wedding theme is not an easy task to fill, whether it be a unique wedding favor, a silver type of wedding favor or even a classy wine wedding favor theme.

Knowing that anything that you choose will be a reflection of this wonderful and noble tradition my opinion for you would be to start with something that is beautiful, but yet still unique and classy. I would start with any type of candle wedding favor which a candle title wedding favor is always universal and always stands out with beauty and class.

A candle wedding favor is a reflection of light and beauty and the selection of candle wedding fares will be a universe of choice for you and your groom to choose for their guests. Candle wedding favors are highly addictive of and beautiful to everyone and everyone will love the elegance of your wedding thing.

I think that if you put enough time and effort into finding the right candle wedding favor your wedding reception ....

A Designer Can Design a Wedding Ring for You

Young couples who plan to marry should spend some quality time when it comes to choosing their wedding rings, or the designer who they will select to design a wedding ring for them. This is something a couple will do alone as it should be a special time. Quality jewelers are not always easy to find and those that specialize in wedding rings are even harder. Many people, however, make the mistake of going to a jewelry store in a mall.

If you are lucky you might find enough variety but these stores often only carry a small selection of rings. It is in your best interest to find a jeweler that specializes so you will have enough styles and materials to choose from. Of course it should go without saying that the wedding ring you choose must complement the engagement ring that your partner is wearing.

Do not allow yourself to be swayed by a wedding ring that will, as soon as it is worn, spoil the look of the engagement ring; some rings have been made to complement each other and these should be the type you seek. Try on different wedding bands and sit them next to the engagement ring to see how they look ...
